In Memory of Pierre

Pierre was the longest term cat in PAWS Chicago care before the Companion team adopted him 3 days short of his 4 year reunion. As soon as we heard his story, we knew we were each other’s perfect fit. Pierre was diabetic, deaf, and 16 years old upon adoption, which had made it difficult for him to find a fur-ever home. We adopted him shortly after opening our doors and he instantly became part of the Companion family and loved and adored by our clients.

We are so happy that we were able to give Pierre cuddles, love, and care in the last 2 years of his life. We’ll miss seeing him snuggled up at his window spot, soaking up the sun. In honor of him, we have named our cat room and his favorite spot in the hospital “Pierre’s Room”. We will miss you Pierre!
