Dr. Alexandra Vignocchi

Dr. Vignocchi has always had a love for animals and knew even as a small child growing up in the Northern suburbs of Chicago that becoming a Medical Director was her dream. Her passion for animals led her to Colorado State University where she completed her undergraduate degree in zoology and then to the University of Illinois for her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Vignocchi has a special interest in surgery and enjoys working in conjunction with owners. She believes that this partnership helps to foster the human animal bond while also allowing for the highest medical quality to be achieved for each patient.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Vignocchi spends time with her three dogs: Roger, Hank, and Bruce as well as her leopard tortoise named George. She enjoys cooking all types of food, especially sticking close to her roots with Italian dishes. A good book is never far from her reach whether at home, in a local coffee shop, or on a trip she planned to explore a different part of the world. You can see Dr. Vignocchi pictured here with a sled-dog puppy from her travels to Finland in 2024.
